This course is about digital transformation, sustainable development and projects. Topics of this course include digital transformation as such, organizations and strategies, value creation, development and implementation of strategies, goal definition and fulfillment as well as project portfolios and projects.
The main objective of the course is to provide opportunities for participants to learn and explore how digitalization can contribute to the implementation of the UN sustainable development goals – to trigger transformation for sustainable development.

The course Digital Transformation is for doctoral students. This course consists of self-study elements and online meetings, including forum discussions. Course content and structure
The course is based on selected literature and active participation in online seminars, forum discussions. Writing two assignments and doing peer reviewing are mandatory in order to pass the course. The forum discussions and meetings are important aspects to help you achieve the learning objectives. Main topics in the course are 1) digital transformation and sustainable development, and 2) digital transformation for sustainable development implemented through projects.
Intended learning objectives
After completing the course, the participant should be able to: Understand digital transformation in an organisational context.Understand how digital transformation can be related to sustainability and could accelerate the achievements of the Sustainable Development Goals. Locate and analyse appropriate scholarly and other resources regarding digital transformations. Understand the relation between an organisation’s strategies and their impacts on selection, prioritisation and monitoring of a project. Consider and suggest how digital transformation for sustainable development could be implemented through projects.
Pedagogical approach
The course has been designed with the learner in focus and takes into consideration how learners engage with the course material and other participants. The assignments involve writing based on reflections with clear reference to course literature and peer reviews. Engagement with other course participants is expected through feedback work and participation in forum discussions. Reading, reflection and discussions are essential parts of the learning environment of the course.

Write two peer reviews, one for each assignment
All assignments and peer reviews should be submitted to the appropriate forum in the course website.
